OPACITY LABS
REBUILDING THE RAILS
History
Hersh Patel, Aaron Marz, and Andrew Bledsoe founded Opacity in November 2023 with a focus on real-world use cases for zkTLS technology.
Hersh and Aaron came from building decentralized infrastructure for verifying real-world data and credentialing. They saw the same problem: the systems underneath financial markets were built for a world that no longer exists. Identity verification assumed documents were hard to fake. Market structure assumed intermediaries were the only way to connect issuers and investors. Both assumptions are breaking. Andrew joined at founding, bringing Wall Street experience from Bear Stearns and Oppenheimer and operational discipline from nine years as COO at Ollie. Together, Opacity is rebuilding the rails.
Opacity Labs, Inc. builds reusable credentials, TSV, issuer, and CUI technology that opens the gates to capital markets at global scale. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Opacity TA, LLC, is an SEC-registered transfer agent and provides transfer-agent services for securities recorded using supported blockchain technology.
Behind the product is a top legal and advisory team with deep experience across U.S. financial regulation, digital asset policy, and identity infrastructure. Their relationships with regulators in the U.S. and abroad put Opacity in a unique position to navigate the intersection of digital assets, securities law, and compliance, and to help shape the frameworks that will govern tokenized markets going forward.
